Two is always better than one. Morgan Mackintosh and Nicole Noonan of Beige and Bleu Design Studio have certainly proven that. After graduating from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, these best friends immediately created the business they spent years dreaming about and haven’t looked back since. Their chemistry and differing strengths allow them to work together seamlessly to create beautiful spaces that bring functionality and value to their clients’ homes. This was proven when the ladies stopped by the Splash showroom to create a Modern Belgian Farmhouse Master Bathroom.
This master bathroom design draws primarily from a Belgian farmhouse aesthetic, but incorporates a twist with modern elements to keep the space dynamic. The Victoria + Albert Barcelona bathtub and stucco white Kallista Bridgeton toilet are noticeably more contemporary than the Stone Forest Elemental console vanity, finished in aged brass and Carrara marble. Marrying traditional farmhouse components with sleek pieces gives the room a cozy yet stylish feel.
The Watermark Elan Vital faucet with Brooklyn handle-trim in pewter and aged brass looks stunning below the Chelsea mirror in antiqued brass by Mr. Brown. On either side of the mirror, Mini Orbit pendants with brass finishes by Porta Romana hang. The finishes in this bathroom are all comprised of age and patina in order to keep the classically rustic aesthetic, and the shower fixtures are no exception. The Watermark rain shower head, shower therm, volume control, hand shower set and arm, and tub filler are all aged brass.
The aged brass shower fixtures pop against the Ann Sacks shower wall tile. Morgan and Nicole selected the Arcilla Field tile in hexagon, and decided to alternate the tiles between the marino and taupe colors. Ann Sacks also carries the shower floor, which is Irdis stacked, white tiling by Ait Manos Moasics. The floor of the bathroom is made of Floors of Stone’s Umbrian Limestone tiles, which looks stunning beneath the milky white bathtub. To tie the subtle blues of the shower tiles together with the different hues of white and beige found throughout the bathroom, the Beige and Bleu ladies selected a stunning McGee & Co painting named December Sky.
