Design a Minimalistic 6’x8’ Bathroom for Under $3,000.
Mission Report
Minimalist design just may be one of the most misunderstood. Instead of thinking “empty” or “bland,” think clean lines, monochromatic color palettes, and absolutely zero clutter! The purpose of minimalistic design is to make it intentionally simple, but not boring. This can be done by incorporating different textures in similar tones, using one main piece as a focal point, and limiting the amount of excess décor. Minimalism in a smaller space may seem like an easy task, but it can get crowded very easily. Let’s see how Robin did with her mission…
Vanity
The Laufen Pro S + Base Vanity Unit is perfect for both small spaces and conservative budgets. The design is clean and simple and includes a slim washbasin and two deep drawers for storage. Robin paired it with the Crosswater Taos faucet with an arching, structural design. Using light as a design feature is another aspect of minimal design, which is why the Vitality Mirror with a perimeter light pattern is a great fit.
Shower
When budget needs to be considered, it’s often best to update fixtures instead of features. A ceiling-mounted Kohler Awaken shower head is just the thing to switch up your bathroom’s style and the angled nozzles provide a full-coverage, drenching ‘rain’ experience.
Toilet
The Gerber Burr Ridge One-Piece Elongated Ergo-Height Toilet has a beautiful, elegant shape with a comfortable elongated bowl and a powerful, yet eco-friendly flush that saves 20% more water than traditional models.
Accessories
With a smaller space, storage is the key to avoiding clutter. Robin made sure that everything has a place with her choice of accessories. The Gatco Glam Minimalist Towel Rack is distinct, yet understated, the Gatco Elegant Corner Shelf is perfect for keeping shower items organized and the Kohler Turkish Bath Linens are beautiful enough to be put on display to add color and texture to the space.
